Q: My child can play and is older. Why are they placed in Fundamental-level group at Protenus?

At Protenus, we group by skill foundations, not just age or experience, because:

Habits Over Hitting: Many older players with advanced shots have hidden inefficiencies (e.g., flawed footwork, improper grips) that lead to injuries or plateaus. Resetting these basics ensures lifelong progress.

Mentorship Mindset: Older players model discipline for younger peers, reinforcing their own fundamentals while building leadership skills. Seeing younger athletes master techniques often motivates teens to refine their own form.

Preventative Training: Teaching biomechanically sound movements early (or correcting them early) reduces wear-and-tear injuries as players grow.

For older players, this means:
✅ A customized curriculum that respects their physical maturity while filling foundational gaps.
✅ Leadership opportunities to demonstrate focus and grit.
✅ A safer, stronger base to unlock advanced techniques without limitations.
